"Gruffalo"

"Gruffalo" was my first commercial work as a character animator. You know, sometimes things don't happen in your life as you planned and they leave room for even better things to happen. I was supposed to move to US to work for DreamWorks, but I didn't make it through some silly visa petition lottery system. I was very frustrated about it, but what happened soon after was some of the best experiences in my life. Thanks to my friend Tobi I got a job at Studio Soi in Germany. I moved to Berlin, met some amazing people, had the time of my life and got to animate on a project that in the end was nominated for the Academy Award in the short film category. I have a very soft spot for this short film. It is a really great little story that I love watching with my own children.
